SENSITIZATION OF COMMUNITIES ON ALBINISM

The video is meant to sensitize communities especially those in the rural areas about albinism. Albinism is an inherited genetic condition from both parents that results in a person having little or no melanin ( pigmentation) in skin, hair and eyes. It occurs when an albinism recessive gene from the father combines with albinism recessive gene from the mother in the development of a child. A person with albinism  generally has very pale skin and yellowish hair due to lack of melanin. Albinism is found in all races and in animals too.
